Slade Farm United bounced back from their recent defeat to Mansfield Road to record a 4-1 away win at Watlington. The conditions made for a very difficult first half for Slade, who found themselves one nil down when they failed to clear their lines properly allowing the Watlington striker to fire home from outside of the box. Slade found themselves level on the stroke of half time when Matty Gardner crossed for Tom Pagan who converted from close range. With the wind behind them in the second half Slade dominated the game, they took the lead early on when Matty Gardner’s shot was only half saved allowing Tom Pagan to capitalise and fire home into the empty net. Slade soon added another when Andrew McMillan converted from a James Allen cross. The victory was completed when Tom Pagan completed his hat trick beating the keeper with a speculative effort from the corner flag.
