Slade Farm United got their second league win of the season, with a 6-2 win over Charlton. Slade took the lead early on with James Allen converting from the penalty spot, after Lee Clack was brought down by the on rushing Charlton Keeper. Slade soon doubled their lead when Dave Barrie smashed home from a James Allen Cross. Dave Barrie then grabbed his second goal of the game and slade’s third firing home from close range when Charlton’s keeper fumbled an Andrew McMillan shot. Slade got their fourth of the game on the stroke of half time with Lee Clack slotting the ball calmly into the net. Charlton came out in the second half with renewed vigour and put slade under early pressure. The pressure soon told, and Charlton got their first goal of the game with a well taken finish from the edge of the 18 yard box. Charlton then grabbed a second with another great finish this time from the Charlton midfielder. As Charlton chased the game gaps in their defence began to open, which were exploited by Slade, who scored two late goals to complete the win.
