Slade Farm United is a Charter Standard Club that plays an active role in it's local community. The club aims to successfully establish itself as a senior league side and is looking to grow by developing an u16 side in the 2009-2010 season to help local young players bridge the gap between youth and men's football.
The club is built upon footballing values of the Slade Sponge and Slade Samba.
The club also has a few strange traditions, each autumn the club members take part in the annual Slade River Dip in which they must lower themselves into the water until completely submerged before getting out as quickly as they can. The players also always have a match day object for each game. Finally when a player reaches 10 years service to the club they are awarded their farmers flat cap to mark their testimonial. |
